01Who we are
Jarit Golf (“we”, “us”) is a Florida business that makes the Speed Machine putting trainer. This policy explains what personal information we collect through jaritgolf.com and thespeedmachine.com and the orders placed there, what we do with it, and the choices you have.
02What we collect
When you order
- Your name, email address and shipping address.
- A phone number, if your payment wallet (Apple Pay, for example) shares one with the order.
- What you ordered, the amount paid, the sales tax included, and the order’s shipping and refund status.
Your card or wallet details are typed into Stripe’s secure fields and go directly to Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
When you sign up for launch news
- Your email address, collected by our newsletter provider, Beehiiv.
When you contact us
- Your email address and whatever you choose to tell us.
When you visit the site
Our servers and service providers receive technical details such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to deliver and protect the site.
We also set a first-party cookie, jg_vid, a random identifier that lets us tell visits apart. With it we record how you arrived (the campaign tags in the link, the site that referred you, and the click identifier Meta or Google adds to a link when you tap one of our ads), your IP address and browser type, which parts of our home page you reached and how long you spent on each, how long the page took to load, and whether it was scrolled, tapped or typed on. We use this to measure which ads and which parts of the page work, and to tell real visits from automated ones. We don’t use it to identify you, and we don’t combine it with other companies’ data about you.
After you order, we may ask how you heard about us. Answering is optional.
03How we use it
- To process your order, take payment, calculate sales tax and ship your Speed Machine.
- To send your receipt, shipping and tracking updates, and messages about your order, including any delay.
- To answer your questions and handle cancellations, returns and warranty service.
- To prevent fraud and keep the site secure.
- To send launch news, only if you signed up. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- To measure which of our ads lead to purchases, so we spend on the ones that work.
- To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
06How long we keep it
We keep order records for as long as we need them to fulfil your order, handle returns and warranty service, and meet tax and accounting requirements, which is typically several years. Launch-news subscribers stay on the list until they unsubscribe. Emails you send us are kept while they’re useful for helping you.
Visit records (the jg_vid identifier, how you arrived, the pages reached, IP address and browser type) are deleted 180 days after your last visit. Counts that don’t identify anyone, such as how many visitors reached each part of the page each day, are kept for as long as we run the site. If you order, how you arrived is kept with the order record. Purchase reports sent to Meta and Google are kept by them under their own policies.
07Your choices and rights
You can ask us to:
- Send you a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct it.
- Delete it, except what we must keep to finish your order or for legal, tax or accounting reasons.
Email arthur@jaritgolf.com from the address you used with us. We’ll reply within 45 days, usually much sooner. You can leave the launch-news list at any time with the link in any email.
Depending on where you live (California, for example), state law may give you additional rights. We honor those requests the same way and won’t treat you differently for making one.
Opting out of sharing
You can tell us not to share your information with Meta and Google for ad measurement, two ways:
- Automatically: if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as that request. We don’t set the visit cookie or record your visit, and if you buy, we don’t report your purchase to Meta or Google.
- By email: write to arthur@jaritgolf.com from the address you order with. From then on we don’t report your purchases to Meta or Google, including any not yet reported. We keep only a scrambled (hashed) copy of your address to recognize it. Reports already sent can’t be recalled.
Blocking or deleting cookies also stops the visit identifier; the site still works the same.
08Children
This site isn’t directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we’ll delete it.
09Security
Payments are processed by Stripe, which is certified to PCI DSS Level 1, the payment industry’s highest standard. Order records are stored with Cloudflare and only we can reach them, behind two-step sign-in. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information, and we’ll tell you if a breach affects you, as the law requires.
10Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we’ll say so on the site or email the customers it affects.
